Hello! My name is Kainoa Marple, and I am a doctoral student in occupational therapy at Touro University Nevada. For my doctoral capstone experience (DCE), I am proudly partnered with Sport Social because of my passion for using sports and arts as a catalyst in improving all aspects of life. I also have been lucky enough to experience firsthand how a stable home environment and supportive family can prepare kids for success. This core belief drives my passion for ensuring that every child, especially youth with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), can access a nurturing home atmosphere that enables them to reach their potential. The Family First program aims to empower caregivers with the knowledge and skills to build a home environment where youth with ASD are supported and propelled toward realizing their fullest potential and preparing them for success beyond the home.
